Redbuds!

Springtime has come to the Highland Rim of Middle Tennessee.
The redbud trees are starting to bloom;
my favorite harbinger.

Everything is greening up all of a sudden.
The latest round of warm weather and rain
has brought it all out.

Winter is slinking away,
but not without a fight
as the recent spate of tornadoes gives witness.

I'm sure we'll have some more cold days,
and maybe freezing nights,
but spring has definitely arrived.
